At The Original Mattress Factory, we’ve never had a sale or offered discounts (outside of the occasional floor model discount) in our 30-year history. But that’s because we believe we have something better to offer. We offer our lowest and best price to everyone every day.

The factory-direct difference

Those big holiday weekend sales? They’re made possible by big retail markups and artificial price inflation. The “original price” listed on the tag is there to make you feel like you’re getting a great deal, but the truth is that it’s almost never real.

These artificially inflated prices also don’t communicate a product’s actual value. To determine value, you have to take a look at both price and quality. Mainstream mattress brands inflate their prices, so you assume they’re better quality than they actually are. And they make it difficult to find out how their products are made, being intentionally vague about their materials and exaggerating their benefits.

At OMF, we hand build our mattresses in our local factories and sell them direct to you in our own stores, eliminating that middleman markup. Without that considerable retail markup, we’re free to offer you our best price every day.

And we’re transparent in both our manufacturing process and our pricing so you can be the judge of value. Our 12 factories are open to the public, so you can stop by for a tour anytime. You can see and feel the materials we use in our mattresses and compare them to those used in a mainstream mattress brand. And the price listed on each model is what you’ll pay — no haggling required.

You should buy when you’re ready

A new mattress is an investment and can have a big impact on your quality of life. It’s a decision that shouldn’t be rushed. But “this-weekend-only” sales can make you feel pressure to make a purchase before you’re ready.

We believe you should take as much time as you need to find the right mattress for you. We always recommend testing a mattress for at least 15 minutes in your natural sleeping position before making your final selection, but some people need to take more time — and that’s totally OK! If you need to come back to the store multiple times, you should feel free to do so.
