We offer hand-built quality mattresses.

When our company started back in 1990, we offered mattresses that were the same quality as the mainstream brands but at a factory-direct price. Back then, we built two-sided mattresses with the highest-quality materials and paired them with real working box springs — just like the mainstream brands.

Over the years, those mainstream brands have made cuts to quality to save on costs. They no longer make two-sided mattresses. They’ve swapped out heavy-duty innersprings for thin wire pocketed coils. The quality of their upholstery layers has slowly decreased over the years. And they’ve stopped offering real box springs, opting for rigid foundations.

These changes didn’t happen all at once. These brands have slowly chipped away at the quality of their mattresses, which means their mattresses aren’t nearly as supportive, durable, or comfortable as they once were.

At The Original Mattress Factory, we still build mattresses and box springs the same way we always have: by hand in our own local factories using the highest-quality materials. We still build two-sided mattresses. We still use high-quality innersprings. We still build real working box springs. We still use renewable, breathable cotton and other high-quality materials. And we still sell them at a factory-direct value.

That means that, these days, you’re getting a better-quality mattress at a better price compared to mainstream brands.

We manufacture our own products and sell them directly to our customers in our own store, without the huge markup you’ll find in mainstream mattress stores.
