We’re grateful to say that many of our employees have been with us for decades, and each and every one has been instrumental to our growth and success. So, we want to share what makes working at OMF special. *We’re always looking for good people to join our team in sales, manufacturing, and delivery in our 12 markets around the U.S. **[Apply here.](https://www.originalmattress.com/employment-application)*** ## **Employee ownership** The Original Mattress Factory is an employee-owned company. After one year of full-time employment, all employees automatically receive shares of the company — no monetary investment is required. This allows all of our employee-owners to benefit from our company’s success. It also means we take special care in all that we do here at OMF. It’s not just another job; we’re owners. [Learn more about our employee ownership here.](https://blog.originalmattress.com/were-proud-to-be-employee-owned) ## **Quality and value you can be proud of** We hand build all of our mattresses and box springs with the highest-quality materials in our own local factories. We sell them directly to our customers in our own stores, offering a factory-direct value. That means we can provide a better-quality mattress at a better price compared to mainstream brands. Whether you’re building our mattresses, selling them in our stores, or delivering them to customers’ homes, you can feel confident about the quality and value we provide. More than 50 percent of our customers were referred by friends or family or have bought from us in the past themselves. That kind of customer loyalty is something to be proud of. ## **A customer-focused philosophy** What’s best for our customers is at the heart of everything we do. We focus on providing the best possible customer service, and everything else falls into line. We build high-quality mattresses and box springs that are made with the highest-quality materials and are built to last because our customers deserve the best. Our mattresses and box springs are not mass produced by machines. They’re hand built one at a time. We take pride in our high quality and safety standards and our attention to detail at every step of the manufacturing process. Some sales jobs can be high pressure with a “don’t take no for an answer” mindset. At the Original Mattress Factory, we focus on a no-pressure, educational sales approach aimed at helping the customer find the right mattress for them — even if it’s not from us. You won’t find pressure to meet sales quotas or upsell customers on products or services they don’t need. While some mattresses are shrink wrapped and dropped on the porch, the Original Mattress Factory ensures our customers get the full-service experience from placing their order to their first night’s sleep in their new bed. We offer in-home delivery with full set up, which provides a great opportunity to provide excellent customer service and make our last interaction with customers a memorable one.   ## **Join our team** If this feels like the right fit for you, [we encourage you to apply](https://www.originalmattress.com/employment-application). We offer extensive training for all departments, so even if you don’t have experience, we’d love to speak with you about open opportunities. *Ready to start your mattress buying journey? Come to The Original Mattress Factory first. No one knows more than our team about what makes a great mattress great. Whether you buy from us or not, you’ll be better prepared to make a smart mattress buying decision. [Find a store near you.](https://www.originalmattress.com/find-a-store)* ### Written By: The Original Mattress Factory ## You May Also Like ### [![Why we love working at The Original Mattress Factory](https://blog.originalmattress.com/hubfs/IMG_OZ_OMF-86.jpg) *Jul 26, 2021 8:00:00 AM | Brand Story / Company & Experience* Why we believe in American-made products](https://blog.originalmattress.com/why-we-believe-in-american-made-products) ### [![Why we love working at The Original Mattress Factory](https://blog.originalmattress.com/hubfs/May_thumb_nosales.jpg) *May 11, 2020 8:00:00 AM | Brand Story / Company & Experience* Why we don’t have sales](https://blog.originalmattress.com/why-we-dont-have-sales) ### [![Why we love working at The Original Mattress Factory](https://blog.originalmattress.com/hubfs/IMG_OZ_OMF-92.jpg) *Jan 24, 2022 8:00:00 AM | Brand Story / Company & Experience* How we hand build our mattresses and box springs](https://blog.originalmattress.com/how-we-hand-build-our-mattresses-and-box-springs) [Learn More](https://www.example.com) ### Newsletter Sign Up Form [![logo](https://blog.originalmattress.com/hs-fs/hubfs/logo.png?width=248&height=183&name=logo.png "logo")](https://blog.originalmattress.com/) Copyright ©2026 The Original Mattress Factory.
