The Original Mattress Factory is coming to Tampa Bay

The Original Mattress Factory has been hand building mattresses and box springs and selling them factory direct in Florida for 25 years. We are excited to announce we are opening our latest factory and showroom in Tampa Bay at 4701 Ulmerton Road in Clearwater, just off of 49^th street.

Since we’re new to the Tampa Bay area, we’d like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves and tell you a little bit about who we are.

What the OMF difference is all about

The Original Mattress Factory was founded 30 years ago with the goal of providing a better mattress and a better mattress shopping experience. We hand build all of our two-sided mattresses and box springs in our own factories using the highest-quality materials. Then we sell them factory-direct in our own stores at our lowest and best price every day to provide our customers with the best value.

We have a local approach to manufacturing and retail. We’re not just American made, we’re hometown made by your friends and neighbors. The mattresses and box springs sold in Tampa Bay will be made in Tampa Bay. We’re also an employee owned company. We take pride in everything we do at OMF because we’re hand building every mattress for our neighbors.

We’ve also taken a unique sales approach, focusing on education instead of high-pressure tactics. Mattress shopping can be stressful, but we aim to provide a stress-free approach by being courteous and transparent every step of the way. We encourage you to take your time to select the product that is right for you and purchase when you are ready. Our factories are open to the public, so you can come see and feel every material we use in our mattresses — and see how we stack up against the competition.
